The Diocese of Gary, Holy Martys, Our Lady of Consolation, St. John the Evangelist, St. Matthias, and St. Mary (Crown Point) Parishes invite you to an evening of reflection.
The holidays can be inundated with anxiety, polarization, and frustration, eclipsing our appreciation of the reason behind the season: the presence of God in our very midst. On the eve of Thanksgiving, come and take a holiday pilgrimage to discover some practical ways to navigate the stressors that can keep us from truly experiencing a Christ-infused Advent and Christmas. Renew hope through the prism of your own story and holiday experiences, while also being mindful of the world (and the people) around us. As the ghostly Jacob Marley told Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol (and as the Lord tells each of us today): no matter the darkness and no matter our sins, “you have yet a chance and a hope” for a conversion of heart to walk anew along a path filled with peace, light, and holiday joy.
