Please use this form to submit a nomination for the 2025-26 Diocese of Gary Youth Council. Nominated young people will be sent a formal application to submit if they are interested in accepting their nomination. Please make sure all contact information provided below is correct. Contact vhathaway@dcgary.org with questions.
- Each parish and Catholic high school can send up to 2 high school students to serve as representatives on the youth council.
- Reps should be active in parish/school life. Youth are nominated by their pastor, youth minister, DRE, or campus minister.
- If a young person wishes to serve on the DYC but does not have a youth minister or DRE, they would need to have a conversation with their pastor to receive permission to serve on the council.
- Reps can serve more than one term at the discretion of the pastor, youth minister, DRE, or campus minister.
