    Young adults (out of high school 18-39 years old) are invited to step away, rest, and reconnect with the Lord at a retreat created just for you.

    Amatus, meaning “Beloved” in Latin, invites you to grow in your prayer life while building community with other young adults from across the Diocese.

    The retreat will include time for personal prayer, spiritual talks, small group reflection, fellowship, Adoration, the opportunity for Reconciliation, and a closing liturgy with Bishop Robert McClory.

  • Please Note: Refunds can only be given 30 days prior to the event. Single rooms are limited and not guaranteed. They will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to those with specific needs (please indicate below if applicable).

  • Note: This retreat is open to young adults of all faith backgrounds. While the retreat will be centered on the Catholic faith (including experiences like Mass and Adoration), all are welcome. If you are not Catholic, we are gald you're here. There will be people available to walk with you, explain what we're doing, and answer any questions.

    Retreat Pricing:

    • Shared occupancy (per person) – $80
    • Single occupancy (private room) – $125
    • Couple (shared room for two) – $160

    Please Note: Refunds can only be given 30 days prior to the event. Single rooms are limited and not guaranteed. They will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to those with specific needs (please indicate below if applicable).

    Payment is due within three weeks of registering online. After three weeks, we cannot guarentee that we can hold your reservation. 


    Checks can be made out to "Diocese of Gary." Please put "Young Adult Retreat" in the memo.

    If someone is making a payment on your behalf, please include a note who the payment is for. For example, if a family member is paying for a young adult, please include the young adult's name. 

    You can also drop off checks or cash to the Diocese of Gary Pastoral Center, (9292 Broadway, Merrillville, IN) Monday - Friday, from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
